Dear Give Children Hope sponsors and friends,

We hope you all had fun with the Halloween parties and trick or treating.

All public schools had their semester vacation last October 22 – 26 and then went back to school last October 29. It was quite unfortunate that the students were welcomed with a typhoon named Rosita (International name Yutu). The northern part of the Philippines was badly hit. It was just last September that a huge typhoon also hit most of those same areas. We just hope that people from there could recover quickly and most importantly, their emotional well being be rebuilt.

Vacations are always fun but that won’t make kids unhappy of going back to school especially Mary France Saludes, a 6th grader from Sua Elementary School. She is happy to come back to school to be with friends again and learn new things. She is also particularly grateful for the Meals at School Program that also welcomed them. She hopes that this program will be able to help more schools and feed more children and also wishes for the sponsors to always be in a good health.

We thank you for the continuous support to the children in the Philippines. Things that you do for us help us to stand back up and recover no matter the typhoons and other difficulties we face in life.

For the sponsored children,

Kristina Lou Calidayan Sunico-Nobles
