Dear Give Children Hope sponsors and friends,

Only one month left until the students are back to school. But this month of May will also be a very busy month for most of the schools with the enrollment, orientation for parents and the traditional Brigada Eskwela where teachers, students, parents, and volunteers all work together to clean and prepare the school for the class opening. It’s always been fun to be part of that school activity.

For this month, we feature Jerome Arazas, a 6th grader from Sua Elementary School. He knows that most students in his school can’t afford to have breakfast and he is thankful that meals are provided for them at school and so they don’t go hungry. He is not only thankful for the daily meals but also for the other school materials that they have received. In his own words, he expressed, “The books and computer sets helped us increase our knowledge, understand the things we do not know, know how to do the things correctly, help us how to read, know what happened years ago in history, and teach us to use new technology”. What Jerome said is a genuine expression of how these tools have helped the students in his school. He is grateful for all your love and help and wishes that more students will benefit from this program in the future.

You have done so much for all these children and we are so grateful that you continue to do so. You don’t only provide something to nourish their bodies but also something to nourish their minds and something to improve their skills.

We appreciate all the love and help!

Jerome Arazas, 6th grader from Sua Elementary School
