Dear Give Children Hope Sponsors and Friends,

The opening of the new school year last August 29 was suspended in Maravilla and Dolores schools in Ilo-ilo due to the typhoon and flooding in the school while Sua and Dugcal schools in Camarines Sur had a good weather so the opening of classes went on as scheduled. They typhoon and class suspensions went on until the 2nd week of September in some areas all over the country.

Despite the bad weather that welcomed our students in Ilo-ilo schools, they were still all smiles as they were given new Blender Bottles that they can fill with clean water to bring to school. What a wonderful way to start the new school year!

More pictures of the blender bottle distribution at Give Children Hope Facebook page.

Also, Nathaniel Rodriguez from Sua Elementary school has a short but profound “Thank you” for you all. The students at Sua Elementary have been receiving daily meals for many years and bags of rice under the rice distribution program when the school closed for a time due to the pandemic.

Thank you very much for keeping the Daily Meals at School Program running throughout the years as well as for the gifts and useful school items you send the children.

For the sponsored children,
