Dear Give Children Hope sponsors and friends,

How have you been?

So the opening of classes for public schools has been moved to October 5. We still have a month to prepare and hopefully, the students, parents, and teachers will be able to adjust well in this new way of learning.

The children and their families are so much grateful for the 2nd rice distribution. Each student was able to bring home a bag of rice for their family. Livelihood and other sources of income have not returned to the way they used to be yet for most parts of the Philippines but each family and individual is finding ways to get by each day. We are so glad for all the help.

This pandemic has affected the entire world but we are so grateful that you continue to think about our welfare. On behalf of all the children, Sheina Casuyon, an 11-year-old 6th grader wants to thank all the Give Children Hope sponsors and friends for all the help. “I transferred to Maravilla Elementary School in 2016. My schoolmates and classmates were excited to went to school every day because of the delicious food prepared for us. Some of us have not eaten breakfast before we went to school. That is not a problem for us because there’s a food waiting for us at recess time and we owe this to Give Children Hope USA. Thank you so much. The best is this year 2020 because we received twice already of rice from Sir Don Cooper, Dr. Doug Cooper, Cooper Family and friends, and GIve Children Hope USA through “Tulong BIgas Para sa Maravilla Program. It is really a great great help to our family in this time of pandemic. My mother is so happy and would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to these people who are so kind and generous.

So to Give Children Hope, USA, Cooper Family and friends, May you will continue to share your blessings to us here in Maravilla Elementary School, District of Pototan 1, Iloilo Philippines. The only way to pay back your kindness is to pray to Almighty God to give all of you good health and keep you safe always. Again, thank you. Thank you po sa inyong lahat. God Bless po!”
