Dear Give Children Hope Sponsors and Friends,

April was indeed a blessed month as the students and their families receive bags of rice and blender bottles. We are so thankful that you continue to find ways to ensure that the kids get the help they need especially in this time of the pandemic. During the distribution in Sua Elementary School, we met Hazel and we’d like to share with you her story. Hazel Lamar was a beneficiary of the Meals at School Program in Sua Elementary School from kindergarten to 6th grade. She is now 19 years old and is in her 2nd- year of college taking up a BSED major in English. The meals that she enjoyed the most were the peanut butter sandwich and the creamy macaroni soup. The benefits of the daily meals did not stop with Hazel but continued with her two younger sisters who are currently enrolled in Sua Elementary School. The restriction for face-to-face classes may have paused the daily meals at school, but you made sure that the children get the help they need through the rice distribution project. So here is Hazel collecting the bags of rice and blender bottles for her sisters.

You should know that you are fulfilling the wishes of the older students – for this program to continue so their younger siblings will also get daily meals in school. We thank you for all the love and generosity.
