Dear Give Children Hope sponsors and friends,

We hope you are all having  a wonderful day.  The month of November welcomed us with a super typhoon. Typhoon Rolly (international name Goni) left 165 cities with power outage and water interruptions. Camarines Sur, where the two sponsored schools -Dugcal and Sua- are located were placed under State of Calamity following the onslaught of the super typhoon. As these cities slowly recover, there is another typhoon entering the Philippines and will make a landfall on the northernmost part. We are used to the typhoons but each one leaves behind different degree of damage.

Distance learning is also affected by the typhoon as the children wont get access to the internet and electricity. It’s too bad if it will take a while for these to be restored. But definitely, the student’s safety and welfare should come first. The learning modes are flexible so it is expected for all the affected areas to adjust and resume when everything is better.

It’s been a month since the distance learning started in the entire country. All the students and teachers are doing all they can to adapt. There are setbacks but we all just have to be more understanding and helpful.

On behalf of the students, Kristine Paraiso wants to express her gratitude to all of you. In her letter she wrote:

“I am so glad to meet you. Thank you for supporting us, for the feeding program and for the eating utensils. I am happy to be one of the recipients of the feeding program in Dolores P. Tirador Elementary School.” -Kristine Charisse Joyce D. Paraiso

Thank you so much for your generosity and love to all of us here in the Philippines.

For the sponsored children,
