Dear Give Children Hope sponsors and friends,
We hope you are all doing well!
This month has been very challenging so far since there are a lot of flu and dengue cases that affect students. The changing weather could be to blame and also dengue cases are usual since we are in a tropical country and because of some other factors.
Kids could get sick for weeks and it can even recur so they had to be away from school for some time. It is hard to see children getting sick and also for the families because it means additional expenses.
We may not be able to prevent all these diseases to affect children but at least we are trying our very best to provide a good environment for them and help them recover quickly.
During this flu and dengue season, the children really need nutritious food and as much as possible a complete meal throughout the day and so we are very thankful for your support to help the Meals at School Program running. The daily meals at school supplements the food they receive at home but in some dire situation, the Meals at School is the only meal that some kids have so we are truly grateful that they are sure to have this meal every day at school.
The Meals at School Program does not only assure healthy and hot meals for the students, it also, as what our 3rd grader Audrey, says “it provides our needs that could mold us to become a better person someday”. She also wants to express her gratitude to all of you and wishes that you will be blesses a hundred folds back
Audrey Miles Bantillo, 3rd grader from Dolores P. Tirador Elementary School.
Thank you for all that you do for the children and for making sure that they receive their daily nutritious meal.
For the sponsored children,
